Jazzy de Groot is a Dutch conservator-restorer of easel-paintings and art historian. Trained and based in The Netherlands, she specializes in the treatment of and research on 16th-18th century Dutch and Flemish Old Master Paintings.

'After graduating as an art historian in 2013 at the University of Amsterdam, specializing in Dutch & Flemish Art, I followed the Master's program in Conservation & Restoration of Cultural Heritage. After completing the master's degree in 2015, I worked as a conservator-restorer in training at Stichting Restauratie Atelier Limburg, the Cultural Heritage Agency of the Netherlands and the Van Gogh Museum. After completion of my training, I started working as an independent painting restorer in mainly the restoration of 16th and 17th century Dutch and Flemish art for private individuals, museums and art dealers. Closely collaborating with Martin Bijl, a top specialist of Old Master Paintings and former head of the restoration department of the Rijksmuseum, I learned on the invaluable tricks of the trade, expertise and intricacies involved with the treatment of Old Master Paintings. A painting is unique and restoration is therefore always tailor-made. Treating your object with the utmost care in a modern conservation studio is what I do at a high and ethically responsible level.'
